The picture of this item looks great, exactly what I wanted. It came completely flat and folded up in plastic, with fold creases in the leather. The zipper does not work correctly, it comes unzipped in the middle of the zipper. Overall, just not the quality I was hoping for.

I also was a bit leary about this bag from some of its reviews regarding its quality. But I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised. It is JUST exactly the size and style of what I was looking for and the one I received, was made well, nice quality leather, well designed in every way. My ONLY complaint is, the strap is WAYYYYYYY to short, for anyone but a child. When I put this bag on, as the sling it was intended, the bag itself falls under my armpit. Granted Im on the tall side, but Im not 6 feet tall, and its still way too short. Luckily for me, I had an older black leather bag that had a detachable shoulder strap with the same clip hooks as this bag. So for me, adding the extra strap, makes the bag fall just above my hip , which is where a sling bag should fall. I wont use the zip backpack option, but it did zip ok, if I ever did. Overall, decent value/quality, but the strap is too short.

Like another reviewer, I too was struck by how flimsy this bag looks and feels in person. It indeed looks quite sturdy in the photo. The back vertical pocket is basically useless. I'm still using my old beat-up backpack purse because it's better than this one. I do, however, take credit for making a bad purchase. I thought maybe there was more to the purse than was said. Nope. Like Mama told ya, "You better shop around!"

This backpack purse arrived with a zipper that wouldn't zip. So after paying the $7 in shipping to get an unusable product, I had to pay another $9 to ship it back to get my original backpack cost of $15 back. All in all, I'm out $16 for something I no longer have. It seems like you shouldn't have to pay for shipping on a defective product.

Great bag to carry around. Just right size for essential items. A front pocket with a main zipper compartment and a side zipper pocket.

I purchased this item based on the commercial on TV. It's true that the bag holds quite a bit for its size, and it is a cute little purse, but it is not very durable. The inside zipper broke and the velcro on the cell phone holder became less "sticky" after just a couple of months of use. The cell pocket went first. After losing my cell phone a few times to find it in my car seat or shopping cart, I decided to stop using the cell phone holder and began carrying it in a different pocket. Then, when the zipper broke that held my asthma inhaler, I decided to get a different purse. That's not entirely unusual for me, because I tend to switch purses fairly often, but for those who like to use a bag until it falls apart, this might just happen sooner than you might like. I would probably purchase another Buxton bag if I could get it really, really cheap. It did come in handy for trips and shopping, because it's easy to carry and, just like in the commercial, will hold just about everything, including a water bottle and/or paperback book. But I wouldn't pay full price for it, and I wouldn't expect top quality.

To begin with I'm not a briefcase kind of guy, I prefer a messenger bag and I have a great one. The only problem that I have had is that depending what coat I wear the strap slides off my shoulder. This is very annoying especially if I have a cup of coffee in my hand...I looked at several strap pads, here at Amazon, as well as a couple of outdoor outfitters and settled on this one, and I am glad that I did...No more slipping at all. the strap stays firmly on my shoulder as it should.

It helped a little but the hard plastic was uncomfortable for long stretches of time.

This is a great commuter pack if your leaning toward bulk less. Material is light weight so take into cosideration what the contents will be carried in the pack, with that said the pack is very small and comfortable for the light commutes.

I bought this bag to use as a diaper bag/purse. I have a 2 year old and this bag works perfectly to carry diapers, wipes, toys, juice, tissues -- I always know where everything is without looking, I feel very organized. I keep my wallet and coupons in the zippered pocket closest to me, works perfectly. I'm very glad I bought this bag.

Used this bag for recent travel to Western Caribbean. Lots of pockets and zips to organize your important paper work/passport/driver's license/cash. Larger than I imagined when initially purchasing. Was able to carry additional technology, makeup, wallet, comb, Bonine for ship, Chose khaki color and it fit in with total wardrobe. Pleased with purchase and would recommend.

I bought this bag about two weeks ago in preparation for my trip to the UK at the end of December based on the great user reviews. I tested it out on a day trip to Disneyland a few days back and had a terrible time with it. My back was killing me! I realized that this bag was not made for short people at all! I adjusted the straps as tight as they could go, but the bag still hung way too low. I am 5'2" and it needs to be about 2 inches higher to fit perfectly and not cause any back pain. If you are taller this bag would be perfect. But if you are petite, I would recommend going to REI and testing out bags in person. I would have rated this two stars, but customer service was great and they are refunding my money.

The bag is and excellent companion to haul quite a bit of stuff and especially like all the pockets and compartments. It's a sturdy bag and very comfortable to drape across the back/shoulder.

This Handbag Is Awesome! I use it for everyday use...Easy to carry around..and fits all my daily use items...Lots of pockets for organization..I have had it for nearly a year now...The price is great for the quality you get!

I bought this bag to replace a similar one that had worn out. It is perfect: nice looking, good-quality leather, not too small, not too big. It fits my 5x8" day planner, phone, wallet, makeup, 2 glasses cases, hand lotion, pens, and gum with room to spare. I may buy another one for when this one wears out.

This bag is cute but has a distinctly unpleasant odor that I can't seem to get rid of yet. I considered returning it but felt it wouldn't be cost effective because of the cost of shipping.

It is great for the price. The leather is very soft and the bag serves its purpose. I can strap it on and go. If you have a phone that is a newer model, it doesn't fit on the pocket that is on the side and it probably wouldn't stay if you had one that fits anyway. My things fall out easily so be careful not to leave anything slightly unzipped.

This soft leather mini packpack is just the practical handbag/purse I needed for work or days off. The delivery was fast and the quality is excellent!

I LOVE this bag. It is roomy but just the right size to carry. The color is great and the inside mango color is even better! I love how it comes with a matching wallet that I can take out and put in other purses as needed. I would buy another purse just like this in another color, it is that great! My ONLY complaint is that the purse handle has "rough" edges so when I cross it over my body it makes my coats or sweaters "pill" where ever I place it.

I ordered this bag as a Christmas gift. I have one just like it and absolutely love it. Since it is cross body it takes the strain off of my back and it lets me be hands free while shopping.

MY SISTER PUT THIS PURSE ON HER "CHRISTMAS " LIST . I THOUGHT "BORING" AND WHERE WILL I FIND IT. WELL, I FOUND IT IMMEDIATELY ON AMAZON, AND IN THE COLOR SHE LIKED- EXPRESSO. WHEN IT WAS DELIVERED , I WAS SURPRISED HOWRICH THE COLOR BROWN WAS (LIKE EXPRESSO !). IT WAS REALLY WELL MADE AND LIGHTWEIGHT. NEEDLESS TO SAY, SHE LOVED IT AND IMMEDIATELY MOVED ALL HER "STUFF" INTO IT FROM THE PURSE SHE WAS USING. ELEVEN MONTHS LATER- SHE IS STILL USING THIS PURSE AND IT STILL LOOKS BRAND NEW. GREAT, QUALITY ITEM.

The color and style are great. Love the bright color inside. It looks good, people admire it, and it's very versatile. But it somehow doesn't quite provide what I need in the way I thought it would. I've ended up using all the parts differently then intended. Like I have a lipstick in the phone pouch, and an appointment book in the front pouch. It does work to put all receipts in the back zippered area, though. The only actual complaint is that the zipper goes all the way down the side, and it's curved, and that makes it impossible to zip it closed with one hand. I often have to stop, put it down on something and zip that zipper up. I'm thinking of stitching a "stop" near the handle attachment.

The material is nice, especially because I am the type to get things dirty, and it's easy to wipe or wash clean. There are a lot of places to store your items, although I think the front part has a harder way to get to your items quickly. I love that there are chains for your keys and change purse. And it fits the body nicely.

I should start by saying that I really really wanted to love this little purse. I bought it several months ago and have been trying to let it grow on me, but I have to confess I'm not satisfied with it. I have been using purses just like this for years, and while I love the overall concept, the execution here fails in many ways. First, the pocket on the very front of the purse has a velcro closure. No big deal right? Except if you wear it on your hip or behind you it makes it really easy for someone to lift whatever you've got in there, OR have it fall out on the edges that the velcro doesn't cover. Same goes for the cell phone pocket, which is placed in sort of a weird spot on the strap. Again, if you use it messenger style, all one would have to do is pull the velcro flap holding the phone in and they'd be gone. Not so fun for us iPhone users. I know it needs to be easy in and out, but a better placement would help here. There is a pocket on the very back of the bag that is zippered shut. Cool, I thought, I can put my phone or something valuable in there. Not so easy as the pocket is only half-deep, meaning it only goes halfway down the back of the purse. Weird. There are little pockets inside one of the main compartment, but the only things I have been able to fit in there are bandaids and hair clips. Even my smallest lipglosses don't fit. I don't think this was designed by a woman. Lastly, the zipper on the frontmost pocket is already starting to stick. The zippers aren't very well made IMO. The fabric is only decent, not great. It's a fairly basic black canvas. Gets dirty super easy and I question it's long-term durability. I know I will give KAVU another shot in the future, and will continue to use this purse until something else comes along (a new product of theirs perhaps?) that works better for my needs.

I just purchased this Kavu bag a couple of weeks ago. I've used it pretty much nonstop since it arrived. It is so user friendly! A few of its highlights are: the cell phone holder, good sized pockets, cute fabric (I ordered the aqua floral), and the cross-body adjustable strap. The only negatives I can say about this bag is that I wish it was just slightly bigger. I'm a mom, and just a bit more space for diapers, wipes, and such would be helpful. Also, I wish some of the other prints were available for the various styles. I would definitely order another Kavu bag.

I love this Seattle Sling purse by Kavu. I got the purple and it just perks my spirits UP to use it everyday. It is the right size and fits against my body nicely, with a strap that is long enough and wide enough to be comfortable. HOWEVER, a serious design flaw: the main zipper compartment is hard to zip back up. There's something about the angle of the construction in that area. This purse should be a "one hand" affair. That's the beauty of "cross bags". You should be able to unzip and zip back up without struggling to bring the side of the zipper together to get the right angle for closure. But that is the only thing that I don't love. I've had a number of cloth Fossil bags, before they stopped making them and the same problem exists here. When this bag gets dirty, how does it hold up to a gentle hand wash? That will be the test. I only got 6 - 9 months use out of my Fossil bags for this reason (but they were light colored, so I bought the dark purple this time from Kavu) and if I had another request, it would be for cloth bags to be truly washable, with high quality fabrics and dyes. I don't like leather (too clunky and not right for climate in Hawaii) and I hate unnatural fibers, so I am constantly seeking cool, convenient, natural fiber and washable bags that work with my life. This one gets close. Heads up, Kavu. Work on design and washability and you will have a BEST SELLER bag in this little darling of a cross-body bag!! Aloha !!

I just received this bag in aqua-floral. It is cute, well made and has many functional pockets; including one on the strap for a cell phone. I don't know how I got along without it. I will definitely order more Kavu bags in the future.

Bought this bag to carry textbooks recently, and it's a perfect size. It has 3 pockets - a cellphone pocket, a zippered pocket and a pouch pocket. I like this bag so much that I bought another one - not the same one but one that is a reversible tote.

I just love this bag! Its adorable and durable, with enough room to be used as a large purse or small school bag. Tons of little pockets for pens, cell phone, and girly stuff. Definitely one of my favorite bags!
